Challenge

The vast utility industries often operate in remote locations where traditional communication infrastructures are unreliable or non-existent. These sectors require robust, secure, and cost- effective communication solutions to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and data reliability. The challenge was to develop a solution that could provide seamless, cost-effective connectivity in these challenging environments.

Solution

hiSky’s Smartellite™ network, which includes hiSky’s HBS modem, Smartellite™ Dynamic 8*8 KU terminals, and hiSky360 NMS, was integrated as an end-to-end solution within the Telespazio satellite network. The Smartellite™ terminal’s unique form factor, small size, lightweight design, low power consumption, rugged design, resistance to environmental conditions, and ease of deployment were key elements for providing a solution for Telespazio’s customers. These terminals provide machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity over Ku band, enabling real-time monitoring and control of the costumer’s utility assets.

Results
