Intelsat integrates hiSky’s Smartellite™ network to Enhance Precision Farming in Brazil with Advanced Satellite Mobility Solution

hiSky has partnered with Intelsat to bring reliable satellite connectivity to remote farming regions in Brazil, with initial deployment for market leader CHN Industries, whose brands include Case IH, New Holland, and Steyr.

Challenge

Brazil’s vast agricultural landscapes often lack reliable internet connectivity, hindering the adoption of precision farming techniques. Limited access to the internet restricts farmers’ ability to utilize data-driven tools essential for modern agriculture.

Solution

To address this challenge, hiSky’s satellite IoT network which includes hiSky’s HBS modem, Smartellite™ Dynamic 16X16 KU terminals, and hiSky360 NMS, was integrated as an end-to-end solution within the Intelsat satellite network. The integrated network provides Intelsat with a complete satellite service solution tailored to Industrial IoT markets, once deployed onto CNH’s farming equipment, Intelsat provides mobile internet access to CNH assets, ensuring stable connectivity even in remote locations throughout the Brazilian region.

Results
